There are THREE WAYS to share
your love of nature!
1) Become a DOCENT and lead nature walks!

is a knowledgeable guide. 2. A trained Volunteer Walk Leader for The Children's
Nature Institute. 3. A really amazing person willing to share his or her love
of nature with newborns through 8-year-olds in Los Angeles County by leading

2) Act as a DOCENT ASSISTANT during CNI's various
nature walks.

[doh-suhnt uh-sis-tuhnt] -noun. 1. Volunteers who walk with the Docent
at the front of the group and lead at least one nature activity during the walk.

3) Act as a CHAPERONE during CNI's various nature
walks.
chap·er·one [shap-uh-rohn] -noun. A
volunteer who stays at the back of the group during a nature walk to make sure
everyone stays on the trail! LEARN MORE
